Through the Industry Based Learning (IBL) program Monash Health Digital Health Division is providing a number of entry level opportunities for students in Information Technology or similar to obtain experience in the operations of an enterprise level IT environment.

As part of your placement, you will be primarily based within the Enterprise Service Desk of the Technology Business Services at Monash Medical Centre Clayton. You will have the opportunity to receive training in and be exposed to a number of business areas including but not limited to:

  • Enterprise Service Desk operations;
  • Desktop Support operations;
  • Telecommunications operations;
  • Procurement operations; and assisting the technology services (Level 1) team.

Excellent communication skills both oral and written are a must, as is the ability to work with a team. A strong commitment to self- improvement and personal development is also required. Flexible approach to work hours and desirable to have hardware/software/programming languages knowledge.

The area the student(s) will be working in: 

Monash Health Technology Business Services Department

Tasks the student(s) can expect to undertake:

  • Enterprise Service Desk operations;
  • Desktop Support operations;
  • Telecommunications operations;
  • Procurement operations; and
  • assisting the technology services (Level 1) team.

Additional opportunities may be available depending on activities within the organization and the individual candidate’s skills and performance. These typically include involvement in IT projects and IT site operations and management experience. Further opportunities may also be made available depending on your skills, experience, performance and activities underway within the business.
