About Monash Health

Monash Health is an impressive organisation of seven public hospitals, 21 community health sites, five aged care facilities, university affiliated international research and tertiary education. We provide healthcare for the entire lifespan from pre-birth to palliative care and all stages in between, and we have recently opened the new 230-bed Monash Children’s Hospital.

The School of Clinical Sciences at Monash Health is a major teaching resource for Monash University medical students. As the University’s largest deliverer of clinical teaching in the undergraduate medical student curriculum, the School provides approximately half of total clinical placements across a range of both disciplines and sites. Teaching activities are conducted at a number of Monash Health sites including Clayton, Dandenong, Casey, Moorabbin, and Kingston Centre.

About the Role

We are now looking for a motivated, experienced administrator to join our team on a full-time basis for a twelve-month period commencing in mid-August 2019. If appointed to this role, you will be employed by Monash Health and will play a key role in the provision of high-level administrative and organisational support for the Monash University Bachelor of Medicine/ Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) Program for the School at Dandenong Hospital.  You will be primarily responsible for coordinating the curriculum delivery for the Year 3 and 5 teaching program, as well as providing administrative support for the Year 4 program. Your specific responsibilities will include a variety of matters relating to course administration, student enrolment and general administration.

Based at Dandenong Hospital, you will liaise with a range of key stakeholders including course coordinators, students, doctors, tutors, and clinical placement supervisors.  Working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, you can demonstrate superior administrative skills and are confident in your ability to work autonomously to provide high-level customer service and day-to-day administrative support to the students and Clinical Dean at Dandenong Hospital.
