About Operating Theatre Services (Perioperative) at Casey Hospital

The Operating Suite at Casey has 6 theatres and 2 procedure rooms, catering for both adult and paediatric patients. We perform a variety of surgical specialties including Urology, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, General, Neurosurgery, ENT & Colorectal. These services will continue to expand as we increase our operational capacity over the next few years.

About the Role

We are a tight knit team who are collaborative and supportive and we value all of our staff.  We offer clinical education sessions, training on the job and career progression to enable you to further develop your Clinical and Leadership skills.

We have availability for experienced Registered Nurses within the Perioperative - Scrub/Scout team. Our opportunities are  Permanent ongoing either Full Time or Part Time positions across a 24/7 rotating roster. 

Seeking to grow our dedicated & knowledgeable team, we are looking for you to bring demonstrated skills and experience within a theatre environment to look after our patients. We welcome both Adult and Paediatric patients into our Theatres which all have a varying acuity.

Taking a team focus on delivery of care, our primary focus is on a patient’s safe journey through theatre. We have a strong education focus and encourage staff to further develop their skills, along with being a part of a friendly and social environment to work in.

What you need:

  • current AHPRA registration
  • substantial Anaesthetic and Recovery clinical experience within a Theatre environment - essential
  • Qualification of Post Graduate studies within this specialist area (desirable, but not essential)
  • Current Employee working with Children Check
  • Full working rights within Australia
