Monash Health is excited to announce an opportunity to join our cleaning team at Dandenong Hospital.  We are now looking for a cleaning professional to maintain environmental and infection control cleaning standards across all areas within the Dandenong Hospital.

The Environmental Services Assistant role is responsible for maintaining to the highest level, environmental and clinical cleaning standards in line with established infection control policies and procedures.

You understand and value relationships with internal stakeholders.  You stand apart from the crowd and are committed and conscientious in your approach to your employment, taking pride in your personal presentation and conduct and the outcome of your work.

You are also

  • Ability to work with a cohesive team or individually to complete daily tasks
  • Excellent understanding of cleaning methodologies and infection control procedures
  • Able to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling
  • A competent level of verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to comprehend and follow written instructions and procedures
  • Basic to intermediate digital literacy

 What you need

  • Have a current National Criminal Record Check (dated within 3 months of application)
  • Have a current Working With Children's (employee) check
  • Australian working rights
  • Certificate 3 in Cleaning Operatons (desirable)
  • Certificate 3 in Health Services Assistant (desirable)
  • Current Victorian Drivers License (desirable)
