About the Operating Suite at Monash Health

Monash Health is the largest public health service in Victoria, employing over 18,000 people across a range of specialities.

 Moorabbin Operating Suite is a department with 6 operating rooms and 1 procedure room over 2 floors.  We predominantly do elective cases of Orthopaedics, Urology, Ear Nose & Throat (ENT), Breast and reconstructions also along with all aspects of Gynaecology.

 About the Role

Taking a team focus on delivery of care, our primary focus is on a patient’s safe journey through theatre. We have a strong education focus and encourage staff to further develop their skills, along with being a part of a friendly and social environment to work in.

 We currently have Permanent Ongoing Full time and Part Time Opportunities - These are Monday to Friday roles, No nights! No Weekends! Our shifts are 9.5 hours in length across a rotating roster.

 About You

We are seeking candidates with demonstrated experience in Scrub/Scout nursing background, or considering a change from another theatre to expand your knowledge and skills.

What you need:

  • Previous Theatre experience with a Scrub/Scout background - essential
  • Experience within the Orthopedic speciality - desirable
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Australian Working rights

 In accordance with recent Victorian Public Health directions all employees working in the Public Health system need to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and be required to provide evidence of their vaccination status.   All candidates that are recommended for appointment will be required to provide evidence they meet the vaccination criteria.

This will be by providing  a copy of your immunisation history statement,  which can be accessed via My Gov, or evidence that you have a vaccination appointment before 1 November 2021.  This evidence will need to be uploaded to the E Recruit system.
