The Child and Family Program, Monash Health Community

The Child and Family Program is a multidisciplinary service that assists children and their families who present with a range of psychosocial concerns, emotional and behavioural difficulties. The psychologist is an integral part of this team, seeing children up to 12 years of age.

About You

With at least 5 years of experience as a registered Grade 2 psychologist, and an ability to engage and work with children, your track record includes demonstrated success in the following areas:

  • Psychological assessment, including cognitive testing, formulation and treatment
  • Ability to collaborate and work in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Supervision/mentoring of staff and students
  • Ability to do secondary consults

You are highly motivated and thrive on the challenge of working with children and their families presenting with a range of presenting concerns. Naturally you have strong written and verbal communication skills, you are an active listener and enjoy supervision and mentoring of psychologists, registrars and students.

 What you need:

  • Current general registration as a psychologist with AHPRA
  • Appropriate post graduate qualifications (Masters or Doctoral degree) in Psychology in an Australian psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited course.
  • AHPRA registration to supervise higher degree and registrars, or working towards this.
  • Working with Children’s Check.
  • Proven significant clinical experience
