Senior Project Manager

Monash Health is Victoria's largest public health service. We provide safe, high-quality cre to one-quarter of the Melbournes' population, across the entire lifespace, from pre-birth to end-of-life. More than 18,000of us work across 40 sites, including seven hospitals and an extensive network of rehabilitation, aged care, community health and mental health facilities.

As a member of the Capital team, reporting to the Director, Capital, the Senior Project Manager will work with other team members in the planning and delivery of various capital projects. The role encompasses planning and delivery of major refurbishments and capital projects as required across multiple Monash Health sites. Project activities include the coordination of partner planning and liaison, tendering and appointment of consultants, oversight of detailed design and tender documentation, tendering of building works and management of consultant team and the building contractor, and liaison with the project stakeholders to achieve budgetary, programme and project objectives.

Key projects currently being delivered by the Capital team include:

  • Kingston Residential Aged Care redevelopment project ($134.Millin)
  • Monash Research Precinct ($10.6 million)
  • Victorian Heart Hospital ($543 million)
  • a number of other small and large complex projects

This role is a client side role where communications, client representation and stakeholder management will be key day to day activities in the delivery of the project/s.

  • ability to manage multiple and sometimes challenging stakeholder relationships with strong communication skills
  • delivery of projects on a day to day basis with a focus on quality, time and budget management
  • coordination of projects across various clinical environments with a focus on maintaining day to day operations and clinical services
  • ability to work within a team environment and support other team members on a day to day basis
