Our Journey
As our services are continuing to expand, we are now seeking two Grade 3 Occupational Therapists to join our teams in Cranbourne and Pakenham on a full time basis. Please note this is a discipline specific role within our Community mental health team. The Casey Area Mental Health Service is led by an innovative and supportive leadership team that seeks to provide an innovative and recovery-based model of mental health care that will continue to develop with our growing community in the Southeast growth corridor.
Our teams are based in both inpatient and community sites and offer collaborative care to clients within our catchment who are experiencing mental health difficulties. We provide service to the Monash Adult Mental Health Program with comprehensive treatment and support to individuals experiencing complex mental health problems. We strive to deliver high quality recovery-focused client care as a multi-disciplinary team. Our aim is to promote self-efficacy and independence and social inclusion with all the individuals we support.
A Day in the Life
As the Senior Occupational Therapist, you will identify, plan and deliver interventions for consumers' needs as identified by the mental health clinician, consumers, carers and service providers and through their specialist occupational therapy assessment. Working within the multidisciplinary team, you will be accountable for the provision of effective Occupational Therapy services to consumers, carers and the community using assessments and individual and group interventions.
If appointed, you will have ample opportunity to draw on your knowledge in mental health legislation and policy, as well as your Mental Health clinical experience and skills. Your contact with clients will be at our current Cranbourne or Pakenham site, and in future at our Narre Warren site, as well as in their own accommodation. As part of this role, you will be asked to work within clinical areas at any or our campuses of Monash Health, as required to suit operational requirements.

What you will need:
- Relevant qualifications (aligned to position description)
- Demonstrated experience
- Current AHPRA registration
- Current practicing registration
- Valid Driver’s Licence is a requirement for this role
