About Operating Theatre Services (Perioperative) at Casey Hospital

Monash Health is the largest public health service in Victoria, employing over 18,000 people across a range of specialities.

The operating suite at Casey has 6 theatres and 2 procedure rooms and caters for adults and paediatrics, with a variety of surgical specialties. We will be increasing our operational capacity over the next few years to includes all these areas. Our Day Surgical Unit will provides same day care for surgical and medical patients and minor procedures.

About the Role

We are a tight knit team who are collaborative and support one another and value all of our staff.  We offer clinical education sessions, training on the job and career progression to enable you to further develop your Clinical and Leadership skills.

We have availability for Registered Nurses within the Perioperative - Anaesthetics/Recovery team. Our opportunities are  Permanent, Full Time or Part Time positions across a 24/7 rotating roster. 

Seeking to grow our dedicated & knowledgeable team, we are looking for you to bring demonstrated skills and experience within a theatre based clinical skillset to look after our patients. We welcome both adult and Paediatric patients into our Theatres which have varying acuity.

Taking a team focus on delivery of care, our primary focus is on a patient’s safe journey through theatre. We have a strong education focus and encourage staff to further develop their skills, along with being a part of a friendly and social environment to work in.

What you need:

  • current AHPRA registration
  • proven Anaesthetic and Recovery clinical experience within a Theatre environment - essential
  • Qualification of Post Graduate studies within this specialist area (desirable, but not essential)
  • Current Employee working with Children Check
  • Full working rights within Australia
