The new Kingston Satellite Dialysis Unit is planned to open in late 2022 and will be situated at the Monash Health Kingston Centre. We are excited to announce a unique opportunity to join the Kingston Dialysis Team now.

Initially you will gain experience and support by working across the multiple Monash Health dialysis sites and transition to a permanent role at the Kingston Dialysis Unit upon its opening. This is an exciting opportunity to meet and gain experience with the dialysis teams across Monash Health. The Kingston Satellite Dialysis Unit is a brand new 12 chair, free-standing, purpose-built unit, equipped to service ambulatory haemodialysis patients. The service is dedicated to delivering a high standard of patient centred care, education and psychosocial support for people who require ongoing haemodialysis. 

Monash Health is the largest public health service in Victoria, employing over 22,000 people across a range of specialties. The Monash Health Department of Nephrology is one of the largest nephrology departments in Australia. It delivers nephrology services throughout the south-eastern metropolitan region of Melbourne, extending into Gippsland. 

About The Role  

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of building a new dialysis team and dialysis unit. The Ward Clerk has a key role within the Dialysis Unit, providing a customer focused service to patients and their families. Patients are required to undergo dialysis three times a week, therefore the role requires you to have the desire and ability to build an ongoing rapport with patients. The role is essential in providing efficient and effective clerical support to the clinical team.

This is an ongoing full-time position.

You are a genuinely passionate and caring person who is highly committed to delivering exceptional patient care. As a clear communicator you can build rapport easily with others and work well within a team. You are a proactive, experienced healthcare administrator who can work effectively in an autonomous role, and prioritising workloads comes naturally to you.  

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have: 

  • Proven healthcare administration experience  
  • Have a desire and passion to learn new processes 
  • Experience with IPROC and iPM (advantageous) 
  • Proactive, organised and the ability to work autonomously 
  • Exceptional, effective communication skills
